I am a Clinical Psychologist at Headway, who works with clients of all ages. I have experience working in a variety of settings including private practice and community health; treating a wide range of presentations, such as trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, eating disorders and OCD. I enjoy the challenge of working with various presentations, people groups and contexts. However, I am especially passionate about journeying with my clients across developmental phases and seasons of life. Change, even when good, can be stressful; whether that be transitioning into adolescence, adulthood, parenthood, or onto new opportunities. I draw from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches which best align with my clients’ goals and presentations. These include CBT, schema therapy, mindfulness and EMDR.
I would describe my style as collaborative – I partner with my clients to provide them with the skills, knowledge and resources they need to be able to make the changes they want to see in themselves and in their lives. When it comes to mental health difficulties, I believe it often comes down to the underlying unhelpful beliefs a person holds about themselves. These beliefs can span generations, become deeply rooted, and impact various areas of living. Through education, awareness and acceptance, my primary goal is to equip my clients to uncover these beliefs, empowering them to reclaim agency over their lives.
