I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist specialising in women’s mental health, with expertise in a range of clinical presentations, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, infertility, perinatal mental health, and menopause.
My therapeutic approach is warm, authentic, trauma-informed, holistic (embracing both mind and body), and collaborative (I am the expert in psychology but you are the expert in you!). I utilise a variety of evidence-based therapies depending upon the unique needs of my client. Since becoming a registered psychologist, almost 25-years ago, I have received training and supervision in a wide range of therapeutic modalities including attachment-informed Psychodynamic Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Personalised Integrative Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), and a range of mindfulness-based therapies. As a qualified yoga teacher, I also enjoy working with a range of somatic, or mind-body, therapies including meditation, breathwork, yin yoga, and hypnosis.
Since completing my PhD in 2010, I have been heavily involved in psychology research, education, and training, coordinating the Master of Clinical Psychology program and teaching across the postgraduate psychology programs at ECU. As a Board Approved Supervisor, I continue to mentor provisionally registered psychologists and clinical psychology registrars, and am honoured to be supporting the Headway team.
