Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental Psychology)
Bachelor of Science (Psychological Science) (Honours)
I’m Hayley, an educational and developmental psychologist with a passion for supporting children, adolescents, and their families through life’s challenges. I enjoy providing psychological intervention for a variety of referral concerns including mental health, academic, social, and family-related issues. I have an interest in working with neurodiverse individuals, including those with autism and ADHD.
I have extensive experience conducting psychological assessments to help young people better understand their cognitive and academic profiles and providing targeted recommendations for parents and teachers. This includes assessments for specific learning disorders (such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia), intellectual disabilities, giftedness, and ADHD.
My experience spans private practice, schools (both primary and secondary), and a hospital clinic, giving me a strong understanding of the systems that support young people. When working with children, I prioritise parental involvement, empowering caregivers to support their child beyond therapy and reinforce the strategies we develop together. Having worked extensively in school settings, I also value close collaboration with educators to provide comprehensive, wrap-around care.
Creating a warm, friendly, and supportive environment is central to my practice. I work collaboratively with each client to develop a personalised plan that meets their unique needs and goals. My therapeutic approach draws upon evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
